Building Better Habits During Tough Times

We all have had to go through this pandemic not knowing where and how it will end. Living with the virus and lockdowns has become part of our normal now. Instead of letting this weigh me down, I took a positive approach and inculcated a few lifestyle changes which are going to help me in the long run as well.

  • Exercise: Exercising daily during the pandemic has helped me stay fresh and relaxed in spite of the external circumstances. One hour of my day is dedicated to cardio exercise or yoga. It has now become a part of my daily routine and I plan to continue with this habit in the coming months
  • Maintaining hygiene: With the virus not completely gone I take all kinds of cleaning and precautionary measures to protect me and my family. This is also a good habit to adopt in the long run as sometimes in our busy life, hygiene takes a back seat
  • Eating healthy: In the past few months there was no option but to eat home-cooked healthy meals. Now, I and my family have become fond of healthy food which is tasty also. I am experimenting with new recipes that can boost our immunity, which is crucial in these times. I have made this a part of my daily lifestyle
  • Managing finances: During the last few months I am spending only on things that are essential and am keeping a tab of my spending. With the economic uncertainty around I think having a robust financial plan is a must
  • I have also realized the importance of protecting the financial future of my family. So as a first step in preparing a robust financial plan, I am planning to secure myself and my loved ones with a life insurance plan

There is no doubt that these past few months have been challenging, but they have also taught us many valuable life lessons. The key is to be prepared to face the challenges and not to be afraid of them, Kyunki agaar Tayaari Ho Sahi to Jeet Pakki Hai- in association with ICICI Prudential.
