Good Workplace habits for the new normal
As we are adapting to the new normal, my worries about going back to work have started creeping in. This situation at present creates so much uncertainty in our minds. On one hand, I’m happy that business can get back to normal, and on the other hand, I am concerned about the safety of my team. So, as we start going back to the office for important meetings & work, here are some precautions one must take to minimize the risks
At Office
- Avoid touching lift buttons or use a tissue to touch it. If you are taking the stairs, avoid touching the walls or railing
- Before you start work, disinfect your desk area and computer. Make sure you leave at least a seat’s distance between you & your colleague
- Maintain social distancing when you interact with people. Avoid shaking hands
- During meetings, make only essential stakeholders are in the room, so that social distancing is maintained
- If you absolutely have to touch a handle or a doorknob, sanitize your hands immediately
- Make sure to wash your hands frequently, especially before lunchtime & don't forget social distancing
Other Precautions
- Carry your own power bank and charger to avoid borrowing it from a colleague
- If you are using your personal vehicle, make sure to disinfect it properly
- Carry your own glass, mug, bottle, & spoon so that you can avoid using cutlery from the pantry
- When you come home, take a bath & wash your clothes separately & not with the rest
- Disinfect your mobile phone & other items you took to the office
- -Wear a mask!
With such small yet important preparations we can hope to safeguard ourselves & our loved ones from the uncertainties outside. Similarly, only by being financially prepared can we safeguard our loved ones’ future from uncertainties
