Thumb Rules for Advisors
Some of the thumb rules that need to be adhered to by our advisors when dealing with insurance.

Ensure meeting with the Life to be assured/ proposer in person prior sourcing the policy.
Verify the photocopies from the originals.
Ensure that all the signatures were done by the client in your presence.
Explain all policy related charges and T&C to the customer in a language known to him.
Ask the customer to disclose all the material information regarding health & habits while filling up the form.

Do not accept cash from customer for first premium or renewal premium.
Do not source business without customer knowledge/consent or in the name of a fictitious entities.
Do not hide any personal information or medical history of the customer. Ensure same is mentioned in the ACR.
Do not share the password for your advisor login id with anyone.
Do not keep customer’s KYC documents or signed servicing forms in your possession.
